MEP for the South West, Clare Moody, brought a positive message about the EU's work on human rights to our July meeting.
We held our 2015 AmnesTea at the home of members, John and Louise, in Dunster - a medieval village and popular tourist spot in the Exmoor National Park.
Following our vigil for the Stop Torture global day of action, we re-convened in the Reading Room in Minehead for a letter writing session.

Our annual fund-raising quiz for Amnesty International, held on 20 March at the Minehead Social Club, was as enjoyable as ever and expertly organised for us by the Humber family.
What a lovely morning we had even though it was cold! We invited the public to sign letters in connection with the My Body My Rights campaign.
Our tree at the Minehead Christmas Tree Festival at the beginning of December was much admired. The theme of the festival this year was 'music'.
This year we held two public events for the Write for Rights campaign. We held a very successfult letter writing afternoon on Tuesday 18 November at the Quaker Meeting House, in Minehead.
The Minehead Group held a very successful AmnesTEA on the afternoon of 26 August in Susan's garden in Carhampton.
