Minehead joins the Global Day of Action for the Stop Torture Campaign

Friday 26 June is the UN Day in support of victims of torture. Here in Minehead we staged a half-hour vigil at midday outside the Avenue Methodist Church, which is on the busy, main shopping street in the town. We displayed banners and large posters of  people featured in the Stop Torture campaign. We gave out leaflets to passers-by and it attracted a lot of favourable comments.
