During the three-day Christmas Tree Festival in Minehead, our tree was seen by hundreds of visitors including many local school children. The theme for this year's festival was 'journeys' so we took the strap-line 'Amnesty takes steps for human rights' and decorated our tree with shiny footsteps and slogans such as 'Towards Fair Trials for all', 'Towards stopping torture' and 'Towards religious tolerance'. After the festival, the tree was moved to the Reading Room, a cafe in the town centre, where it was on view until the New Year.
