Justice for Syria

In 2011, hundreds of thousands of Syrians took to the streets to demand a better life. In response, Syria's authorities launched a mass crackdown leading to tens of thousands being detained.

As of December 2024, following the collapse of the previous authorities, the people of Syria finally have an opportunity to live free of fear with their rights respected and build a human-rights-respecting country that works for all.

Gathering evidence is more important than ever - we must preserve it for truth and justice to prevail in Syria.

We will continue our evidence-gathering and advocacy inside Syria, and will keep working with and supporting Syrian human rights activists, most of whom are torture survivors themselves, to help bring Syria’s war criminals and torturers to justice.
