Are you interested in Amnesty International UK’s Section’s governance? In 2021 we will be looking to fill five vacancies on our Board of Directors.
The Amnesty International United Kingdom Section Board has 12 elected members who each serve voluntarily for three consecutive years and are then eligible for re-election for another three years. The Board oversees the running of AIUK, including finances, human resources, campaigning work, and ensuring that we meet our international obligations.
An election will be held for five places on the Board of Amnesty International United Kingdom Section for 2021-2024. There will be vacancies for two unreserved seats, one Local Group member reserved seat and two Network reserved seats.
This is an annually elected role which candidates can apply for in the next year, if not the current year, due to the cyclical nature of the elections.
Applications for this role are now open. Please visit www.amnesty.org.uk/board-elections-2021-2024 for further information on how to apply.
The Board always welcomes candidates with experience of Amnesty activism, especially those who will contribute to our diversity. Additionally, the key skills that the Board is currently seeking include those in finance, risk management, human resources and campaigning.
