UK: British-Palestinian surgeon Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah in conversation - London event

The prominent British-Palestinian plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr Ghassan Abu Sittah will be in conversation at an Amnesty International UK event in London on Wednesday 27 March (19:30-20:45).

The award-winning medic rose to international prominence after giving media interviews from Gaza in October and November, providing a powerful first-person account of the extreme challenges confronting Palestinian medical workers as they desperately battled to treat the wounded amid Israel’s huge bombardment of the territory.

Other speakers at the event will include Sarah Agha, the Irish-Palestinian actor who recently co-presented the acclaimed BBC documentary The Holy Land and Us. Further speakers will be confirmed ahead of the event.

The event will include a Q/A session and is followed by an informal drinks reception. The event is free, but booking is required via this site
