As R&T members will now know, the sad death of Gillian Horne earlier this year left our group without a Chairperson.
At our July meeting, Tasmeen Zeer from the Syrian Solidarity Group came to talk to us about the current situation
John Reekie began the meeting with a tribute to Gillian Horne. Members were invited to give their names in support of the address John was planning give at Gillian's funeral.
It is with great sadness that we have to let you know that Gillian Horne, who for many years was Chair of our group, died from cancer in West Middlesex Hospital last Saturday.
At our May meeting on Thursday 10th May we were fortunate to have a visit from Sue Bingham, AIUK Coordinator for Cuba, who brought us up to date with Human Rights in Cuba.
Our next meeting is at 8pm next Thursday, 10th May at St Mary's Church Hall, Church Street, Twickenham.
