The Colwyn Bay branch of Amnesty International and the Conwy County Peace Group led a discussion on Palestine and the Arab Spring, in July 2011.

We celebrated Amnesty's 50th birthday by inviting Terry Jones to plant a tree. The picture shows Terry with our current chair Maggie Towse, and our founding member Geoff Jell.

In Turkey in October 2007, just days before his 18th birthday, Ferhat Gercek was shot by police. As a result of his injuries he is now paralysed from the waist down.

The Colwyn Bay group of Amnesty International is hosted a Hot Pot Supper on Friday in September 2012, at the Colwyn Bay Cricket Club. Live music was provided by Orbit.
