Jerry Allen, Amnesty UK’s Country Coordinator for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, will focus on the human rights violations being suffered by the Bawm people in Bangladesh (see for example https://www.amnesty.org.uk/blogs/country-specialists/bawm-prisoners-iar-case) - a case that Amnesty local groups and others are encouraged to work on. Jerry will also cover  the wider context of human rights in Bangladesh following the overthrow of the Sheikh Hasina government last year, as well as the plight of garment workers and the Rohingya.
