Introducing the Refugee Collection: Greeting Cards by Amnesty International UK

In a world where stories of resilience, hope, and creativity often go untold, Amnesty International UK presents this special collection that beautifully captures the passions and talents of artists from refugee and migrant backgrounds.

Every day, all over the world, people make one of the most difficult decisions: to leave their homes in search of a safer, better life. Some people leave home to get a job or an education. Others are forced to flee persecution or human rights violations.

Our goal is for all refugees and migrants to be treated with dignity and respect, and an immigration and asylum system that is fair and effective.

The Refugee Collection, featuring artwork by remarkable artists Ada Jusic, Nima Javan, and Maria Tsymbal, is a testament to the power of art that transcends borders.

By purchasing these cards, you're not only sending heartfelt messages to your loved ones but also contributing to Amnesty International's mission to advocate for the rights of refugees and migrants worldwide.

And there's even more to feel good about – these cards are responsibly made, using vegetable-based inks and printed right here in the UK. The cards are part of Amnesty International UK’s new catalogue, which includes hundreds of ethical, organic, and fair trade gifts and everyday items.

You can view our new catalogue here, or request a copy from sct@amnesty.org.uk.

'Celebrations and Solidarity' by Ada Jusic

Ada Jusic, an accomplished illustrator and animator, channels her experiences of coming to the UK as a refugee from Bosnia  when she was a child into stunning visual narratives. With over a decade of experience, Ada's art has become her language of expression and identity during challenging times.

Having worked with organisations like the International Rescue Committee and The Frontline Defenders, Ada's artwork highlights her personal experiences, as well as helping other refugee and marginalised people tell their stories through collaborations. Her cards in the Refugee Collection reflect celebrations of life and unbreakable solidarity.
