February 2019 Newsletter

The copy of our latest newsletter has some updates on cases that we have been following and actions that you can take.  A letter to send to the London Embassy of Azerbaijan about the journalist and Human Rights Defender, Mehman Huseynov, is attached to this blog.  He documents corrupt practices and HR violations in Azerbaijan and was due to be released from a two year prison sentence in December 2018.  However, new charges have been brought against him and if found guilty he could face another 7 years in prison.  Further details in the newsletter.  Dates for your diary are also in the newsletter.
