September update

Our September meeting was brilliant. Sue Bingham updated on Cuba and asked us to go to the Amnesty website, choose Cuba and take action. If you'd like to follow developments in Cuba, Sue does a commentary on Twitter  @sue4cuba and Sue also recommends Sarah Marsh, a Reuters Cuba correspondent whose Twitter handle is  @reuterssarah

The October meeting will be Thursday 7th Oct . Why??? Because on Monday evening 3rd October Amnesty International UK is hosting a zoom seminar for the 'Stop the Rights Raid' Week of Action. There will be experts to explain the threats to the Human Rights Act and the two Bills currently going through parliament - The Policing Bill and The Borders Bill. For any of us thinking about meeting with our MP on this subject, then this seminar will be very useful. Ask us for the link.

Keith will be signing us up to the Kashmir campaign. We have had several successful meetings on the India-Pakistan-Kashmir conflict in which we engaged members of the community in Woking so we will be building on this rapport .
