Matters arising from previous meetings :
● Write for Rights campaign - Two venues being approached. Keith will contact The Lightbox again to see if we can have a stall on 6 December. Steph will contact the Lionheart Bookshop for 13 December.
● Southern Regional Meeting -  planned for 18 October in Tunbridge Wells. Arianna is busy working with AI to secure speakers. Steph and Keith are planning to go there.
● Collection Day - 20th September. Thanks so much to our lovely volunteers - hope the weather remains dry.

Next meeting will be 6 October. We discussed showing a video of Jimmy Lai plus having some guest speakers. Lynda to confirm that Curtis Room is available. Steph to contact Hong Kong Programme to see if they have any speakers. Benson could also speak about Jimmy Lai’s case. We would sign a letter at this meeting.

Monday, 3 November - We will discuss Gaza/Palestine. Possible local campaign/letter writing.

Monday, 1 December - Write for Rights event.

AOB :
1. We discussed joining forces with Guildford if we became an online only group as the numbers are so low. Group generally supportive of this change however for Speaker / W4R events, we do need a room. So for now we keep the room booked and we continue with a hybrid model in future.
2. Trump resistence march is being held on Wednesday, 17 September from 14:00 at Portland Place, London, Amnesty assembly point TBC. There will be a rally from 17:00. From 18:30, there will be a networking and human rights action planning event (plus light dinner provided). 3. Lynda will confirm our balance at the next meeting after the Collection Day event.
