September 2022 Updated

Yesterday's meeting was very convivial and attended by Franko, Jim, Jane, Leslie, Keith, Peter and Lynda and we signed two letter petitions . Also discussed was a new Prisoner of Conscience which we will investigate for the next meeting. Campaigns mooted for our focus were Israel/Palestine, LGBT, and Russia, though more campaign options will no doubt crop up. We touched on the AI strategic plan which includes the idea of reaching out to other campaigning organisations for joint campaigning on mutual interests.

Next meeting is Monday October 3rd 7.30pm at Trinity Church Hall.  Monica has invited Richard Cotter to speak to us on Brazil and South America. He was due to speak to us in person but owing to an injury he will be with us on ZOOM.

Saturday 24th September - Street Collection. As a reminder to ourselves this serves two purposes. To raise awareness of Amnesty's work as well as to collect donations for Amnesty International. Please contact us to volunteer, or give generously when you see us out and about!
