Life in Zimbabwe Meeting

There was strong support to help the people of Zimbabwe after hearing the speaker at our meeting on Monday 24th June.  Maggie Taise, UK Country Co-ordinator for Zimbabwe, explaining how women have been specially targeted during the violence which erupted when people were calling for a Presidential Election this year.  The date has now been decided - 31st July 2013.

Our group campaigned on behalf of WOZA - Women of Zimbabwe  Arise - and it was encouraging to hear Maggie Taise speak out on behalf of their leader Jenny Williams, who has suffered much physical abuse - a brave women who would never ask others to do anything that she was not prepared to do,
