The Bundle, a performance about refugees and assylum seekers, at The Warrington Friends Meeting House on Friday 15 September at 7.30pm - FREE PERFORMANCE ALL WELCOME

Based closely on the story of a real women and her three children, The Bundle follows Adilah's domestic persecution and denial of human rights in Chechnya.  Removed from her Russian homeland by her Chechen father, abducted into a forced marriage and then subjected to a life of servitude, she takes the ultimate risk plotting her escape to the UK.  Here she finds a home but also encounters the Home Office's 'hostile environment' with regard to asylum seekers and refugees.  The play moves from the tradition of the folk story to that of biting satire as it charts Adilah's bid for freedom, safety and hope.

This is a free performance by the Journeymen Theatre and all are welcome to attend on Friday 15 September at the Friends Meeting House, 1b Academy Place, Warrington WA1 2NR at 7.30.  You don't have to be an Amnesty member just interested to find out the end of the story!  Voluntary donations for refugee charities will be taken on the night.
