Sutton Amnesty Letter-Writing Stall at Sutton High School for Girls - 14 June 2022

Amnesty International letter-writing at Sutton High School for Girls

The Sutton Amnesty International group ran a successful letter-writing stall at Sutton High School for Girls during their human-rights themed Suttonbury Festival. Mark, Lyndon and Barbara were all kept busy, with good engagement generally by the students who came over to the stall. Emma Aston, the teacher who invited our group, and the school in general were very welcoming.  Supporting this event also paves the way to have an ongoing relationship with the school - indeed Emma has asked us to speak there in the Autumn term.

Letters were written concerning the young Palestinian journalist Janna Jihad and our own prisoner of conscience, Dr Mohammed al-Roken.
