Poetry Sunday event

Group members, supporters and passers-by took an enthusiastic part in Stratford-upon-Avon's Poetry Sunday on July 7th. The event was an open-air drop-in reading of poems on Amnesty themes which was held in brilliant sunshine in the centre of town on Poetry Sunday.

Poems by prisoners of concience and their families from around the world were read in Arabic and Spanish  (with translations) and in  English. It was an exciting moment to affirm Amnesty values and feel thankful that we could speak out and feel the sunshine and fresh air.
