Amnesty Sheffield Film Screening

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us last week, and the Showroom Cinema, for hosting our screening of Green Border, a moving drama exploring the human cost of Europe’s border crisis, heavily based on real-life accounts from refugees. We had a great turnout for the film, and had 22 audience members write letters to the Polish government, urging them to abolish their new law allowing the suspension of the right to claim asylum for refugees, a move that violates their human rights and international obligations.
Want to get involved with Amnesty Sheffield? You can join us at our next meeting on Wednesday 8th October (19:30-21:00) at the Central United Reformed Church (S1 2JB), where we’ll be discussing and planning our campaigns for the rest of the year
We’d love to see you there
