Autumn Events
Christmas Social
This will be on Tuesday, 12th December, 7:30pm – 10:00pm at 3 London Road, Saffron Walden.
There will be the opportunity to write greetings cards and action letters within the Write for Rights campaign. As it’s our group’s Winter Social event, there’ll also be some light refreshments and drinks (including mulled wine) and the chance to chat with other group members and supporters.

If you’re unable to be there in person, you can still complete some actions for human rights. Follow the link to the Amnesty Write for Rights webpage (URL at the bottom of the page) and you’ll be able to send online support on any/all of the cases in this year’s campaign.
Letter writing in Saffron Walden
On Sunday 29th November, members of St. Mary's Church in Saffron Walden wrote cards for Amnesty.
On Saturday 2nd December, a similar event was held in the library. It was slow at the start but there were 47 cards in the postbox and £34-70 in the collection, so it was well worth being there.
Street collection in Saffron Walden
This was held on 14th October and a magnificent total of £1,121.25 was raised by our wonderful team of collectors and members/supporters who sent donations. Many thanks again to them and to Maureen for co-ordinating the collection for us.
