Shut Up - a focus on Prisoners of Conscience

Saturday 24th

• 2.00pm Imprisoned in the UAE—talks by Amnesty International UK’s Paul Dawson (Middle East and Gulf Regional Team Coordinator) and Oscar Jenz (UAE Country Coordinator); and Joe Odel (Press Officer, International Campaign for Freedom in the UAE).

• 3.30pm “Amnestea Party” - Join us for tea and home-made cakes, write cards for prisoners and enter our fantastic tea-themed raffle. Proceeds to Amnesty International.

Sunday 25th

• 10.00am Communion service with prayers for justice, and dedication of our new prisoners of conscience display.

• 3.00pm An afternoon of music, poetry and prose, with the wonderful Christ Church choir and guest soloists. Tickets £5 on the door, children free. Proceeds to Amnesty International.

Throughout the weekend from midday to 5pm

• “Shut Up” An exhibition of information from Amnesty, plus art and poetry from the children of New Christ Church School.
