Summer events - did you see our Amnesty stall?

The Minehead Group set up a successful stall at the Watchet Fete on Sunday 28 July.  Unfortunately we didn't manage to attend any other fetes this year but we did have a street stall in Minehead on 5 July. At both events we invited people to sign action cards to the leaders of southern African countries about the forthcoming elections in Zimbabwe. We collected over 170 signatures in all, which was amazing! We also had letters for people to sign about individual prisoners of conscience in various parts of the world and human rights defenders who need our support. Our special Amnesty games and sideshows were popular with the children (and their parents) too!
