Sending messages on International Women's Day

A very successful stall for International Women’s Day was held in The Avenue, Minehead on Saturday 8 March.

An eye-catching display of photographs of women human rights defenders who are under threat in various parts of the world drew in many members of the public (particularly women) who were passing by.  In just over two hours, our team of enthusiastic helpers gathered over 140 signatures for letters about these cases. Everyone was very pleased with this result and also to have had the opportunity to spread the word about Amnesty International in our local community.
