This year we held our action stall for International Women's Day actually on the day itself, 8 March. Although a weekday, we were pleased with the response. More than 90 pieces of bunting were completed with solidarity messages to young women in Burkino Faso who are living in refuges after fleeing from forced marriages. We will complete the bunting at our next group meeting on 22 March, before sending it off to AIUK. It will then be put it with other bunting made by members around the UK and sent off to Burkino Faso. We hope our messages will help lift the spirits of these young women who have suffered such grave human rights abuses.
