Soroptimists, Fairtrade and Amnesty International

On 4 March John Hood and Glyn Eatock attended a meeting of Soroptimist International of the Fylde. Pat Fergusson of the Soroptimists thanked them both for giving such an interesting and informative presentation and said that although most people had heard of Amnesty, having the background detail filled in made it more real for the members. Pat pointed out that the Soroptimist International's work with women and girls, provided common ground and common goals between the two organisations and she was sure that there was a possibility of mutual support in the future.
