Carnival time 2

St Anne’s Carnival

On Saturday 6 July the Fylde Coast Amnesty group set off, with our large yellow banner to walk in the carnival parade in order to further raise awareness of our presence in the area.  The day started off dull but became sunny and warm. The parade was fun, especially because we were followed by a Bulgarian folk group, dressed in national costume, who danced to the beautiful music of their homeland.

In the afternoon we had a stand in Ashton Gardens and interacted with members of the public who signed cards and asked questions and took a great interest in the information on our stand. Some took details of our meetings so fingers crossed, we may increase the membership.
