Our August monthly action - Refugee pledge, book sale fundraiser and letter signing event.
Thank you to everyone who supported our book sale, letter signing and Refugee pledge event.
We sent 33 letters; 15 letters to United Arab Emirates and 18 to Brazil.
Our Refugee Pledge placard was well covered with signatures by the end of the morning, but it could do with some more… so please come along to our next Amnesty meeting on Thursday 18th August 8pm at the Bridge Café on Selwood Road, to add your signature to our group’s placard.
If you are going to the Welcome Refugees march or you know anyone who is going on September 17th please let Judy know as soon as possible so that she can give you our placard. If not she will send it back to AIUK by the 7th September.
