Group AGM resolution discusion and March meeting. Click here

At our March meeting last night we discussed the resolutions for the April AGM. It was decided that our representative would vote on the group's behalf against many of the resolutions. We felt resolutions 5,6,8,9,10,11 and 12 would significantly increase the power of the AIUK board at the expense of the membership.

All AIUK members can vote online and you should have received information about how to do this.

We also heard good news from Pam about the release of Albert Woodfox and Tunisian, Abdelfattah Said, who had been imprisoned after posting a video of the 2015 hotel attack in Sousse on a charge of 'knowingly broadcasting false news'. We also heard that AI Morocco are to mobilize a cultural front against terrorism.
