We are delighted and honoured to welcome Benny Wenda to Ealing Amnesty on Monday 13th November 2017.

Benny Wenda - Human Rights Defender from the Front Line

Benny is a leader of West Papua independence and former prisoner of conscience.  He was persecuted and arrested by Indonesian authorities for his political beliefs and peaceful activism.  Since being granted asylum in the UK, he has campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness of human rights abuses in West Papua and the peoples’ right to self-determination.
