Out and About!

Ready for visitors to our Christmas card stall

Since my last post we've been out and about, promoting Amnesty International across our area.  In Chipping Norton on United Nations Day we raised the UN flag, we've held a street collection in the centre of Witney, and have returned to Charlbury for this year's Charity Christmas Card Sale.

On 25th November we'll be back at our town's flagpole in the Millennium Garden to raise our Human Rights flag to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and on Thursday 27th we'll have a stall at Chippy's "Lights On" evening when the town will be busy with stalls, a singalong and switching on of the Christmas lights.  Then you can see us at the Christmas Tree Festival in the Methodist Church (on West Street), showing off our brightly lit Amnestree.  From 1st December we shall be occupying the old red 'ChippyPhoneBox', featuring this year's Write for Rights campaign.  And of course we'll be marking Human Rights Day on 10th December, again raising our human rights flag.

Do join us for any or all of these events.  At our stall on 27th we'll be selling Amnesty Christmas cards and, if you purchase raffle tickets, you might be the lucky winner of one of our super hampers!
