Greetings Cards Campaign 2012 - Saturday 15th December 10am-12noon at Chester Library

We'll be running the greetings cards event in Chester library (like we did last year) in the morning on Saturday 15th December. This is aimed at members of the public, whilst the event at The Customs House Pub on Monday 26th November (see link below right for more details) will be for friends and sympathisers that we are inviting.

All are welcome to come along to the library on December 15th and write a message of solidarity to prisoners of conscience and their families.

Chester Library is easy to find, it's on Northgate Street, a little further up from the Town Hall, opposite the Cathedral, and in front of the Bus Station.

Amnesty have selected 15 cases to focus on in this year's campaign. Some are new cases that have been high profile in the media, such as the Russian band Pussy Riot. Others will be familiar to Amnesty members, such as Hakamada Iwao, Reggie Clemons, and WOZA. You can find out about the cases by clicking the link to 'Amnesty International Write for Rights Campaign' below right.

If you're wondering if the campaign makes any difference, have a look at the updates on the 2011 campaign (link below right).
