Greetings Cards Campaign 2012 - Monday 26th November 7.30pm at The Customs House

Update... Photos are up on our flickr page, see the link bottom right!

------

We'll be holding our annual and ever-popular Greetings Card meeting on Monday 26th November 2012 at The Old Custom House Pub, Watergate Street, Chester at 7.30pm. This is always an enjoyable and well-attended meeting and we'll be inviting friends along.

The pub are kindly letting use the room for free. It's upstairs, at the back.

See below right for links to the pub's website and a map showing the location. Free parking is available on the street behind the pub on Weaver Street and Commonhall Street, and in the Market Car Park which is accessed from Princess Street.

Amnesty have selected 15 cases to focus on in this year's campaign. Some are new cases that have been high profile in the media, such as the Russian band Pussy Riot. Others will be familiar to Amnesty members, such as Hakamada Iwao, Reggie Clemons, and WOZA. You can find out about the cases by clicking the link to 'Amnesty International Write for Rights Campaign' below right.

If you're wondering if the campaign makes any difference, have a look at the updates on the 2011 campaign (link below right).

We'll be repeating the greetings cards event at Chester Library on Saturday 15th December, for members of the public. More information here.
