Creating a Culture of Welcome in Bury St. Edmunds

Ben Margolis, co-founder of The Grange, and regional organiser for City of Sanctuary, will be speaking about these exciting initiatives at the Friends Meeting House, St. John's Street, Bury St. Edmunds IP33 1SJ, on Tuesday July 10th. at 7.30 p.m.

The Grange is a family home and smallholding in West Norfolk which since 2012 has been opening its doors to people from near and far to give them opportunities to build their own resilience.

In particular people are welcomed who have survived torture and extreme violence and those fleeing persecution.

As a permaculture demonstration site they are also exploring ways of living which might help our wider societal resilience at this time of great change.

City of Sanctuary is a movement committed to building a culture of hospitality and welcome, especially for refugees seeking sanctuary from war and persecution. Our network of local groups includes boroughs, towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, all committed to building this culture of welcome across every sphere of society.
