Mozambique: Marrying Your Rapist Is Not Justice

This month, Mozambique’s parliament could pass an update to its criminal code which would allow rapists to escape prosecution if they marry their victims.

If passed, the laws will deprive women and girls who have experienced sexual violence of justice, and force them into an abusive situation where they are likely to face more sexual violence.

Please text, email of fax to call on the Mozambique authorities to veto this law.
