Our December meeting was an amazing success. We wrote a considerable number of messages of support to prisoners of conscience across the world on seasonal cards, many of which were home made.
Although we know that the work of Amnesty is not orientated religously, the vicar at Yealmpton has agreed to let us display publicity material in his church.
At the start of December we held a Book Sale in Ebrington Street, Plymouth at The Bread and Roses.We had a great reponse with visitors buying books & CDs; we also chatted about the work of Amnesty

We meet tonight as usual at 7.00 pm in the Quaker Meeting House, Mutley Plain, Plymouth.
Since our last meeting, we have had our usual Autumn street collection in the lovely stannary town of Tavistock. We are quietly pleased with the total we raised: £119.32.
Come along and join us in a great fund raising evening... buffet, raffle, prizes for the winning team. Bring a team or join one on the night; but please bring your own drinks. Saturday Nov.
Last night saw our Annual Quiiz Night held at Yealmpton church. It was a good social occasion with quite a few people keen to learn more about our local group.
This was a great success last year - and we aim for more of the same this coming Saturday!
