Haiti.....

I'm to fly out to Haiti on Friday to write a feature for a national newspaper. I'll be staying for a week and working with photograper Angela Catlin. We're getting access to Cite Soleil - one of the world's most awful slums - through an American priest who has worked there for a number of years. The situation in Haiti remains tense and only last week a couple of UN soldiers from Jordan were shot dead by gunmen. At the weekend there was a demo in Port au Prince against a UN force that has been accused of rape and summary executions. I've not visited Haiti before so if anyone has any travel advice feel free to contact me. I'll be posting a diary - if I can get access to the internet - during my stay.
