Thank you for buying books from our shop and supporting Amnesty's work. Our current opening hours are:

Monday         Closed

Tuesday        10.30am – 4.30pm

Wednesday   10.30am – 4.30pm

Friday            10.30am – 4.30pm

Saturday        10.30am – 4.30pm

Sunday           Closed

We are accepting small walk-in donations. If the donation is more than one person can carry in a single trip, please call or email ahead to make arrangements. Please note that Goodramgate closes to traffic at 10.30am.

We are also able to arrange collection of larger donations within the local area, please contact the shop for further details.

Opened in May 2012, our York book shop is the second youngest in our chain. Based within the city walls, it is a stones throw from York Minister.

Volunteer Our shops are run mainly by volunteers so we’re always looking for more! If you’re interested in helping out and can spare four hours a week, please pop in for a chat and an application form. You can also download the role outline and application form below.  

Donate Got records you haven’t listened to for years? Or books you’re no longer reading? Don't put them in the attic, bring them down to the shop and donate to support human rights. We also accept CDs and DVDs.
