Local group activity pack, Stop Torture campaign update, July 2014

The Stop Torture campaign is now underway. Thank you to all activists who have already started taking action on the campaign and on the five priority cases.

We launched our Stop Torture campaign at Amnesty sections around the world on 13 May 2014.

At Amnesty UK, our launch included hearing from survivors of tortures and experts on torture in Mexico, the Philippines and Nigeria.

Like you, we are horrified by the violence and the civilian death toll in Gaza, Israel and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territories. We’re calling for an immediate ceasefire by all parties in the occupied Gaza Strip and Israel to prevent further loss of civilian lives.
