Eskinder Nega - Write for Rights casesheet

Ethiopian journalist Eskinder Nega is serving 18 years in prison for terrorism offences, after he criticised his government and called for free speech in journalism. He is a prisoner of conscience.

Eskinder's wife, Serkalem, was arrested and tried for treason also because her husband spoke up for free speech. Their son was born in prison.
