Ethiopia: Amnesty International condemns treason trial in new report

On Tuesday 2 May, Amnesty International publishes a new report calling for the immediate and unconditional release of several members of Ethiopia’s opposition party, human rights defenders and journalists who are on trial on charges of treason. The trial is expected to re-open in Addis Ababa on Tuesday 2 May and 76 people are expected to appear in court while several others are being tried in absentia.
