MAY NEWSLETTER

Here is our May newsletter to download, with lots to get involved in during this time of lockdown.

We hope that you are doing our Weekly Actions, if you are able, and we will keep these up until we can start our normal activities again. Even though we are missing our many stalls and events where we meet members of the public face to face, there are still lots of ways to get involved in Amnesty campaigning and the newsletter is full of suggestions. In particular, we have a couple of online meetings this month and we have also been invited to a talk hosted by the Hammersmith and Fulham Amnesty group:

 Monday  May 11^th 6.30pm – Manchester Amnesty Group Zoom meeting with a talk from Rebecca Nguyen van Thuy, AIUK's Crisis & Tactical Campaigner. The Zoom link will be sent the weekend before.

 Wednesday May 13^th 7.30pm – Online talk on the shrinking space for human rights in central Europe. To attend, please email the Hammersmith group secretary, Virginia Brignell at secretaryhammersmithamnesty@outlook.com  by 4pm on May 13th and she will send you the Zoom link.

 Saturday May 30^th 2-4pm – Facebook Letter Writing meeting. Please join in and add comments on your appeal writing as you do it.
