Marking International Women's Day

On Friday 6 March members had a stall on the Avenue in Minehead, and were delighted that the weather stayed fine! We invited the public to sign letters and a petition on behalf of women in Iran and Ecuador who have been harassed or imprisoned as a result of taking peaceful actions in support of fairness and justice. Overall, we collected an average of 70 signatures for each of the cases and engaged in useful discussions with people passing by.
