Minehead Group's February 2020 newsletter

Our February newsletter includes a report of the talk on Modern Slavery that took place in Minehead on 23 January. We were pleased to welcome 21 people to this open meeting, including several members of the Taunton Group. We were reminded by the speaker that we all benefit from slavery and that it exists everywhere, including West Somerset. Cherry Bird continues the modern slavery theme with an article on girl trafficking in Nepal.

Our group works on the case of the BK9 - human rights activists imprisoned in India, without charge or trial. The newsletter includes a link to an action everyone can take, if they haven't done so already. There is also the usual list of actions that members can follow up this month and a list of diary dates.
