Uighur detentions

The Amnesty International Mid Devon Group met last night, and among other activities sent individual birthday cards to Ilham Tohti, the Uighur academic jailed for life in China in 2014 for advocating dialogue between the Uighurs and Han Chinese in China's Xinjiang region. Hundreds of thousands of Uighurs are imprisoned in mass detention 're-education' camps.
