Braving the wind and rain at the Roadwater Fete

Fete stall with Amnesty members

The Minehead Amnesty Group once again held a stall at the Roadwater Fete. This year it was on Saturday 28 July, a particularly windy and showery day. The gazebo didn't like the gusty wind so we had to take it in turns to hold on to it, while encouraging visitors to sign our petition and action cards. However, we managed to collect 64 signatures on the petition to the Home Secretary urging him to take action on re-uniting refugee families and some action cards for the BRAVE campaign were signed. The children also enjoyed playing our various Amnesty-themed games. It all helps to get Amnesty's message across to the general public.
