Refugee Week Photo Opportunity

A big thank you to all who took part in the Refugee Week Photo Opportunity on Sat 24 July at 12 noon (or at a different time and maybe even a different day if you cheated!).

15 of the 21 Groups in Yorkshire and the North East took part, which was brilliant, and you all made a powerful statement, together and at the same time, that this region welcomes refugees.

Even two newspapers in Scarborough have printed the press releases and the photographs!

I was at an Amnesty Regional Forum in London on Saturday (1July) when there was some talk of the regions undertaking similar simple but effective actions in the future.
