Next Meeting, 21 July 2020, 6.45 pm with John Adlam (Virtual Meeting)

Our next meeting will take place on Tuesday 21 July 2020 at 6:45 pm via Jitsi (virtual meeting). Please get in contact with our Group Secretary if you want to join the meeting. . 

We are delighted to have John Adlam as our guest speaker. John was until 2017 director of the humanitarian and emergency operations support service to DFID providing the technical and operational advice and project delivery in natural and conflict disaster zones around the world. He will speak about the work at DFID and the connection with human rights. 

The group recently decided to adopt in addition to Ahmed Mansoor another prisoner, or better a group of activists / prisoners: Saudi Women Rights Defenders. One of our members will speak about the new case file and about ideas for campaigning for them. We also want to speak about plans for an online human rights & poetry event (potentially in September). As always, there will be updates on our group campaigns and we will speak about new urgent actions.
