October 2022 Newsletter

The newsletter this month is a reminder that the Write for Rights campaign begins next month so the group will be planning how to promote this and encourage people to sign cards that we will send to people who are suffering human rights abuses.  The theme this year is very topical - The Right to Protest.

We will also be planning for our annual collection at the Warrington Tesco on Saturday 19th November.  This is in store so if you have an hour to spare that day to help us collect you will be in the warm and dry.  All volunteers will be teamed up with a group member so it is a great opportunity to find out more about what we do.  For further information please contact Evelyn on 01925 268871 or at benkin64@talktalk.net.  If you are not able to help collect but can come along to say hello we would love to see you.

There is also a petition to sign asking for justice for a Nigerian school girl who was allegedly raped at her boarding school and later died.  Her mother obtained her medical report which states cause of death as rape.
