Flying a Kite for Human Rights Colwyn Bay 24th June

Warrington members join Colwyn Bay's event Flying a Kite for Human Rights on the prom

Amnesty Colwyn Bay ran a hugely successful event on the prom on 24th of June - Flying a Kite for Human Rights.  Over the day 48 kites were flown and given away to 48 lucky children, sorry others were disappointed but it was first come first served.  Adults were encouraged to sign an online petition for Iranian Human Rights lawyer, Nasrin Sotoudeh, who is currently in prison on various charges relating to her stand for human rights in Iran.  Members of the Warrington group joined in the kite flying and awareness raising on a beautifully sunny day on the prom and beach.
