Amnesty International UK National Conference and AGM 2012

This weekend is the National Conference and AGM of AIUK in Manchester. The theme ('Bulletproof Conference') is the Arms Trade Treaty .In July this year world leaders will meet in New York for the final ATT negotiations.  Amnesty wants to see a robust and effective international arms trade treaty that establishes a legally binding, global agreement to control the international transfer of conventional weapons. There will be lots of other topics of interest discussed during the 3-days. I will be attending the conference and will report back at the May meeting of Thame AI group.
